NAD+ - Key Information
What is NAD?
NAD (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide) is a vital coenzyme present in all cells. It is essential for maintaining cellular health and energy production. NAD plays a crucial role in various biological processes including DNA repair, metabolic regulation and cellular communication. As we age, natural levels of NAD decline, impacting overall cellular function and contributing to age-related conditions.
Is NAD different to NAD+?
Yes, NAD and NAD+ are similar terms, but they are not exactly the same. NAD (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a general term referring to the molecule in its different forms, including NAD+ (oxidised form) and NADH (reduced form).
NAD+ is the form that is involved in cellular processes such as energy metabolism and DNA repair. It does this by accepting electrons and becoming NADH. NADH provides these electrons during biochemical reactions before converting back to NAD+. This cycle is essential for producing cellular energy.
What are NAD+ Injections?
Vivere NAD+ Injections deliver pure Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide into the body. This method ensures rapid absorption and maximum bioavailability, surpassing the limitations of oral supplements. By bypassing the digestive system, Vivere NAD+ Injections provide an effective means to replenish and rejuvenate cellular NAD levels. These injections help to support cellular regeneration, enhance metabolic functions and promote overall well-being. The NAD+ used in these pens is manufactured to GMP standards at a UK-based, GMP-licensed, NHS-approved site. The site where the NAD+ is manufactured holds a MHRA license for sterile liquids, one of only 24 in the country. It is also the only NAD+ that is UKAS accredited.
