Although extremely rare, a serious allergic reaction to this medicine may occur. If you notice rash, itching or swelling of the face, tongue, or throat, trouble breathing or severe dizziness, immediately seek emergency medical help.

Tell your doctor if you are allergic to beclomethasone, or if you have any form of allergy. This medication may contain inactive ingredients that could trigger an allergic reaction.

Tell your doctor your medical history before you start taking this medication.

Before having surgery, tell your healthcare professional that you are using Qvar.

Beclomethasone may mask the signs of infection. It can also worsen your current infection. Avoid spreading or getting infection from other people by always washing your hands.

Beclomethasone may cause vaccines not to be effective. Do not receive any immunization while you are still using this medication.

Corticosteroids may slow down the growth of children. However, poorly controlled asthma will have the same result. Ask a doctor to monitor the growth of your child who is using this medication.

Qvar should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. If you are pregnant, discuss first with your doctor the benefits and risks before you start using Qvar.
